Last week (May 28-31, 2024), Menleleh Incorporated in collaboration with Miss Eco Environment Bong 2022, Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Protection - Liberia, Ministry of Education - Liberia and Ministry of Health commemorated World Menstrual Hygiene Day in Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia. The celebration was held under the Global Theme "Creating a World Where Every Individual has to Safe and Dignified Menstrual Management" and the National Theme "Menstruation is a Must! Let's Make Menstrual Products Accessible, Affordable and Create a Safe Environment for Hygiene Management". The celebration included conduct of radio discussion, outreach to schools and a grand indoor program. The indoor program was held at the Liberia Assembly of God Foundation High School in Gbarnga, Bong County and massively graced by hundred of High School students. The celebration sought to increase awareness about the importance of menstrual health, which must be recognized as well-being and rights of women and girls.Menleleh Incorporated distributed sanitary pads and menstrual cycle beads to over 300 women and girls.
