Monrovia, 17 August 2022 - ForumCiv has signed multi-year grant agreements with 11 Civil Society Organizations from Bomi, Bong, and Grand Gedeh Counties. The total value of the grant agreements is 11 million Swedish Krona. These grants will promote Inclusive Governance, Customary Land Rights, Natural Resources Management, and contribute to addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in the target communities. This marks the first batch of grants to civil society under a new cooperation agreement with the Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia, which runs until 31 December 2025.The beneficiary organizations include Action for Community Transformation, DELTA-Human Rights Foundation Inc., Efficient Research and Development Institute, Foundation for International Dignity, Catholic Justice and Peace Commission, Central Region Liberia, KuKatonor Women Association, Menleleh Incorporated, Safer Community Initiative Of Liberia (SCIL), UNITED FAMILY FOR RECONSTRUCTION (UFAR), Women Care Initiatives, and Youth Positive Transformation Initiative (YOPTI).Partners and supporters of this initiative include the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia, RTI International, UNDP Liberia, the European Union in Liberia, Liberia Land Authority, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development, Environment Protection Agency (EPA), Ecowas Radio, and the National Civil Society Council of Liberia.
